Galloway House Gift Shop
The historic Galloway House and Village Gift Shop has undergone a complete transformation, under the direction of Robin Doyle. The shop is located in the Reception Building, on the grounds of the FDL Historical Society's grounds located on Old Pioneer Road.The building has undergone a complete transformation. People can visit the gift shop during the open hours of the village, and they do not have to purchase an admission ticket for the village to shop and browse in the unique setting.
Gone are the old glass cases and outdated gifts. In their place visitors will find lovely antique furniture outfitted in vintage linens on which are displayed a unique variety of gifts, books and consignment items. Included in the consignment items are jewelry, cards, quilted items, table runners, stained glass, crocheted button necklaces, button jewelry, scarves, pictures, wooden items, spade bird houses, soaps, lotions, candles, emu items, peacock feathers, as well as Marla Jane's cards of historic village buildings.
We also have our wonderful Hope's Candy Shop case full of hard candies, plus, the shop is also featuring End of the Trail Candy Shoppe (Waupun) chocolates, caramel corns and fudges.
Also available are vintage linen cloths, runners, pillow cases and other vintage items, as well as the historic books.
