The Traveling Trunks Program
This program brings history to life in the classroom through a popular outreach program. These magical trunks, brimming with authentic artifacts, are an opportunity for students to actually hold and touch objects of the past and let their imaginations soar.
What was its purpose?
Who has used this object before me?
In what time period?
How does it work?
Through a grant from the Wisconsin Humanities Council (WHC), the trunk program includes lesson plans. The trunks are available for a $25 refundable deposit. Trunks can be customized to grade level and area of study and would include an inventory of items and lesson plan.
