66th Annual Ice Cream Social

The Fond du Lac County Historical society is very pleased to be continuing our longest-running event: our annual Ice Cream Social! Make plans now to be a part of this family friendly, historic tradition, taking place August 14, 2022. Visitors will enjoy cold beverages, yummy food, and of course – ice cream! Interactive history experiences will be ongoing. Join us for tours of the Galloway House, historical outdoor games, kids activities, demonstrations, and more. We look forward to seeing you there! July 2Night Out in the Village – Enjoy an evening in our historic village with live music by TAE & The Neighborly! Make sure you check out our Quilt Exhibit and Kilns and Crushers Exhibit, and keep an eye out for Santa as we celebrate Christmas in July! A variety of food and cold beverages will be available.

July 13The Night the Churches Burned – Learn about the infamous 1908 night that forever changed Fond du Lac.

August 6The Great fire of 1871 – The deadliest fire in US history happened right here in Wisconsin.

August 1466th Annual Ice Cream Social – Come on over for a full day of fun activities, food, drink, and ice cream!

August 20 Night Out in the Village – Enjoy an evening in our historic village with live music by Northsoul, and don’t forget to check out the working steam engines, all new Quilt Exhibit, and Kilns and Crushers Exhibit. A variety of food and cold beverages will be available.

September 23Gatsby Fundraiser Gala – Our annual fundraiser dinner with a Roaring 20s theme! More information on the way!

October 23Trick or Treat in the Village – Bring the kids for some trick or treating and fun activities in our historic village! More details to come!

December 10Christmas in the Village – The Galloway House and Village is once again joining forces with Festival of Trees to bring you not only a wonderful Christmas event, but a chance to help out local nonprofits, as well. Watch for details.

The Galloway House and Village is open to the public from Memorial Day weekend through September 4, 2022. Regular hours are as follows:
